Timeshare companies put a lot of effort into providing excellent customer service. A recent award from J.D. Power for providing “An Outstanding Customer Service Experience” for phone contacts with its Owner Support team in 2022 is one illustration. Holiday Inn Club Vacations received accreditation from J.D. Power, a leading provider of consumer insights, advisory services, data analytics, and other services, making it the first company in the timeshare or vacation ownership sector to receive this coveted award.
The latest award for customer service for Holiday Inn Club Vacations confirms what the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) has long believed about the timeshare business.
According to a recent owner survey by the industry trade association:
- 82 per cent of timeshare owners say they would recommend timeshares in general;
- 90 per cent of timeshare owners are satisfied with their overall ownership experience; and
- 84 per cent of owners would buy a timeshare product again if they knew then what they know now about their ownership experience.
“The beauty of timeshares is that the support and service provided by timeshare brands is a major part of the experience that owners can expect to enjoy while vacationing at properties in desirable destinations across the U.S. and around the world,” said Jason Gamel, President and CEO of ARDA. “Our hats are off to Holiday Inn Club Vacations for being the first in the industry to receive this well-deserved honor from J.D. Power, and I am positive this will be the first of many for the timeshare industry.”
A Vacation Option Transformed
Today’s timeshare owners benefit from a wide range of advantages that show how far the business has come since timeshare first appeared.

Brands provide their owners with enticing extras like exclusive, one-of-a-kind vacation opportunities. For instance, Holiday Inn Club Vacations has introduced new VIP Experiences for owners, offering fully escorted event travel experiences every month, with all arrangements made by the business. In addition, culinary tours, multi-course meals, private concerts, behind-the-scenes visits, admission to sporting events, and many other activities are offered exclusively to owners.
