RedWeek is one of the largest and most respected online timeshare rental platforms, and it has weathered the ups and downs in the tourism industry. This year, RedWeek is celebrating its 20th anniversary by experiencing significant growth.
RedWeek, which has been around since 2002 and was co-founded by Internet pioneer Randy Conrads, has garnered an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and has more than 2.7 million readers.
When owners aren’t making use of their timeshares, they can rent them out to travelers at costs that are competitive or even lower than those of hotels. It is one of the tourism industry’s best-kept secrets since the transactions are quick and open.
There are now more people who are aware of the situation. Bookings made through RedWeek for summer vacations in 2022 are up more than 200 per cent from those made in 2021 and more than 750 per cent from those made in 2020, a pandemic slump year.
In addition, RedWeek is on track to be its most successful year ever for selling timeshares in 2022. Compared to the same periods in 2019, when timeshares were going towards their peak, the firm witnessed a 43 per cent rise in the number of enquiries and bids on timeshares that were up for sale in the year 2021.
Baby boomers have always had a significant market share in the timeshare industry; however, millennials are increasingly becoming interested in timeshare-centric vacation travel. In addition, millennials have discovered the freedom and diversity they want in the world of timeshares, which has coincided with the emergence of the “sharing economy”, including companies like Uber and Airbnb.
RedWeek has a user base of more than 2.6 million. The site is visited by timeshare owners and travelers interested in reading exclusive resort ratings and reviews, gaining access to comprehensive resort information, browsing thousands of timeshare rental and resale postings, or advertising their timeshares for rent or sale.
As these rentals are made available at pricing determined by the owner, they are nearly often far more affordable than resort costs.
