Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has revealed that new villas will be built at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, opening in late 2024. This news follows the announcement that Spirit of Aloha would be permanently closed to make way for the new wing.

This summer, Disney Vacation Club will unveil new resort studios at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, only steps away. In addition, the company also announced today that new Disney Vacation Club villas would be built at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
“It’s no secret that our Members and Guests love the monorail resorts at Walt Disney World,” said Bill Diercksen, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Vacation Club. “Expanding our Disney Vacation Club offerings at the Polynesian would give our Members and Guests yet another incredible option for staying close to the magic while making vacation memories that last a lifetime.”
The Imagineers of today are honouring the past while continuing the resort story with this unique addition, inspired by the early plans for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The proposed vacation ownership complex, which is expected to debut in late 2024, will complement the current resort and convey the atmosphere of the Pacific Islands.
The proposed facility on the banks of Seven Seas Lagoon would share the resort’s spectacular views of the Magic Kingdom. Additional accommodations, expanded recreation opportunities, and dining alternatives are part of the proposed plans.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows has been a popular resort location since 2015, providing an island oasis in the centre of the magic. The largest Deluxe Studios at any Disney Vacation Club resort at Walt Disney World and unique two-bedroom Bora Bora Bungalows, located over the waters of the Seven Seas Lagoon – the first of their kind at Disney – are among the 380 Disney Vacation Club villas at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
