The third annual Hospitality Show, held from October 26-28, 2025, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, brought together thousands of hotel industry leaders, innovators, and suppliers to explore the future of hospitality.

Produced by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and Questex, the event featured a trade show floor with over 350 exhibitors, more than 50 educational sessions, and a lineup of over 100 industry-leading speakers. The conference provided a forum for attendees to discover new technologies, share best practices, and forge strategic partnerships to elevate profitability and guest experiences in an evolving landscape.

Event Highlights & Notable Takeaways

Keynote speeches and panel discussions provided a wealth of insights, emphasizing the need for the industry to be agile and adaptable in a rapidly changing world and connecting the dots between operational excellence and global trends.

Ozan Özkural, Founder and Managing Partner of Tanto Capital Partners, provided a fascinating yet sobering assessment of the challenges the industry faces in “Navigating Global Currents: Strategic Insights for Hospitality Leaders.” Drawing on developments in technology, economics, history, political science, and international relations, Ozan highlighted the need for resilience, adaptability, and strategic recalibration to survive in a volatile world where “what was impossible becomes inevitable tomorrow.”

“The Profit Engine: Aligning Ownership, Brand, and Operator” panelists delivered actionable advice.  Memorable comments included:

  • Brands have a responsibility to respect both shareholder value and ownership.
  • When alignment works, profitability follows.
  • “The world is changing and it’s changing fast.”
  • “You have to consider how to incorporate robots into your org chart.”
  • “The price of greatness is responsibility.”
  • “Learn to be agile. If you are not, it’s going to be a struggle.”

Jennifer Clark Fugolo, VP Industry & Stakeholder Engagement, AHLA, led a discussion with Sarah Phelps, Managing Director of Astronaut and Customer Experience at Blue Origin, in a session titled “Next-Gen Travel: Hospitality Lessons from a Space Village.”  Sarah offered a unique perspective on how hospitality before, during, and after each rocket launch impacts the guest experience.

HTNG TechOvation Award

The prestigious HTNG TechOvation Award, which recognizes and rewards the latest technology innovation in the hospitality industry, was another highlight of The Hospitality Show 2025. This year’s competition featured a field of ten semifinalists, who presented their company’s innovation and its potential impact on the industry.

The 2025 HTNG TechOvation Award winner was Agilysys for their groundbreaking Book with S.P.E.N.D. (Stay Package Entitlement New Dynamic). This technology increases ancillary revenue and guest personalization by simplifying how hotels sell and fulfill packages. It enables guests to reserve all entitlements in a package – from spa and golf to dining and activities and tours — in a single, guided online experience without requiring calls, emails or manual coordination with a property’s staff.

The two other finalists were:

  • Glowing.io for The Grid, an agentic, natural-language AI layer that sits above the hospitality tech stack so staff can “just say it” – by voice or text.
  • MeetingPackage for their CRS for Meetings & Events and Group Sales, which allows hoteliers to manage all their group sales with one software.

The other seven semi-finalists were:

  • ExploreTECH – ExploreTECH Pro
  • Nonius – All-in-one Casting Appliance
  • dailypoint™ – AI Profile Snapshot
  • BluIP – AIVA Connect 3.0 Agentic AI
  • Levee – Levee RISE
  • Siv – Siv Hospitality Lead Response
  • Axonify – Communications

Additionally, the Tech Acceleration Awards recognized excellence in adopting HTNG standards:

  • Hotelier Category: Belmond
  • Vendor Category: Canary Technologies
