Why should I register as a member?

How much is membership?

Membership is free. When you sign up for your free membership, you can select from our list of content topics. However, we’ll also display our Editor’s Choice articles which cover a range of general hospitality subjects. You never know what you might learn!

Will I be bombarded with emails from providers?

No, your privacy is important to us, and we do not sell our membership details to any third parties. You will receive regular emails from the IHS team with the latest articles, information and editorials on the subjects you selected when you registered.

Can I contribute an article to IHS?

We are always looking for new and exciting contributors to join our editorial team. If you have experience in the hospitality industry or knowledge that you wish to share with others, then please contact the editorial team at contact@insidehs.com.

If I register as a Member, can I also register as a Provider?

Yes, if your business provides products and services to the hospitality industry.  Note: you will need two separate logins, one for your IHS Member registration and a different one for your IHS Provider registration. That means you can take your membership with you and share your Provider login with your colleagues.

What is the difference between a Member and a Provider?

InsideHS.com defines a Provider as a commercial enterprise demonstrating that its products, services, experience, and knowledge provide added value to the hospitality sector.  Providers have various options to showcase themselves to IHS Members.

Members are individuals in the business of hospitality who make or influence purchasing decisions.  IHS membership is free to anyone who registers as an IHS Member.  Enrolment begins here, and registration is free!

How does IHS make money?

We don’t charge individuals for Membership. Providers pay IHS fees under one of our subscription plans and for other services to highlight their offerings to IHS Members and site visitors.

Who are IHS members?

Members are individuals in the business of hospitality who make or influence purchasing decisions.  IHS Members include Brand Executives, CEOs, COOs, Designers, Developers, Facilities Managers, General Managers, Heads of Engineering, Heads of Housekeeping, HOA Board Members, Management Companies, Operators, Owners, Project Managers, Sourcing & Procurement Teams, and many others.

What types of property do you cover?

We cover every aspect of the hospitality industry, from large hotel chains and timeshare resorts to AirBnB properties and motels.

Our broad definition of hospitality takes this even further to include food and beverage establishments, retail outlets, managed apartments, and retirement communities.  We intend to provide information to anyone engaged in “the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.”

Where are you located?

Our central offices are in Atlanta, with our senior staff across the globe.  The hospitality industry is uniquely international, and we value various inputs and perspectives.

How do you define the hospitality industry?

The dictionary defines hospitality as “the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.”  We embrace this broad definition and strive to represent all hospitality areas, including guest-facing and behind-the-scenes. We have you covered from hotels to timeshare, take-out to sit-down restaurants, and everything in between.

What listing options do you offer providers?

We provide our providers with a choice of subscription plans and multiple add-on options, offering a wide range of opportunities to collaborate with IHS to help educate and inform your target market about your unique products and services.

Do you only feature US-based providers?

No, not at all. While our focus at the moment is on the US hospitality industry, if you have a product or service that can be purchased, accessed and serviced by US businesses, then we would love to have you join our directory.

Can any business join the Provider Network?

All vendors who supply products and services to the hospitality industry can apply to join the Inside Hospitality Solutions provider directory. Please note that we vet all applications to maintain the directory’s integrity. This protects our members and provides a level of exclusivity to our providers.

How much does it cost to join the Provider Network? 

We offer subscription plans making it as easy as possible for providers to choose the best option for them. Each tier includes a lifetime listing in our directory, so sign up today by completing the online form. You’ll find more information on our subscription plans and other customized options to help educate and inform your target market about your unique products and services here.

Who do I contact if I want to update/amend my directory listing?

Providers have the capability to update their listings.  You can always get help by contacting us at providers@insidehs.com.

When will my listing be available to view in the Provider Directory?

Provider listings are typically live within 24 hours of registration.  Someone from our team will contact you immediately if anything would prevent us from making your listing available within 24 hours.

I can’t find a category that represents my business. What should I do?

I like the idea of a video for my business. How does this work?

We believe that video is the most effective means of marketing and communication available today, and we offer exclusive video content customized to promote your brand.

I’m an industry trade group/association, industry publication or industry non-profit organization. Can I still be part of the IHS Provider Network and be listed in the directory?

Yes! We’d love to have you join us.

Why are your Provider Subscription plans and options so low?

There are two main reasons why our prices are so reasonable:

  • Since we are a start-up, we wanted to provide an incentive for providers to join the IHS Provider Network.
  • We didn’t want the size of a provider’s marketing budget to prevent them from joining.

Are you offering any launch promotions for Providers to sign up?

Yes, we are, and we’ve actually reduced the pricing even further because of the pandemic, which has wreaked havoc on the hospitality industry.  With so many businesses hurting, we wanted to do something to give back and help providers.

If I register as a Provider, can I also register as a Member?

Yes, and we encourage our Providers to do so.  Your IHS Provider account allows you to manage your business listing, while your IHS Member account will allow you to experience the IHS platform the same way your target market does. Note: you will need two separate email addresses, one for your IHS Provider registration and a different email address for your IHS Member registration.

Can I choose which articles are displayed?

Yes. When you sign up for your free membership, you can select from our list of content topics. Is IHS a Global Procurement Organization (GPO)?

No, we are an information resource for individuals who influence or make purchasing decisions and want to learn about innovative products and solutions, and we are a platform for providers who want to inform and educate their target market on their offerings.
